Today we were instructed to create a resume using google docs. This was the first time I had used a template. I found it to be very easy to use. I thought that having the format set up already was very helpful. Also posting it to our blogs could be beneficial for two reasons. The first being that it will help us to get to know our fellow students. Knowing a person's work history often opens up many conversations. The second reason would be in a professional setting. Employers would have more access to different resumes, broadening their base of applicants. Also, job seekers would be able to get their resume to a wider range of employers. I definitely feel this should be taught to all students since eventually they will be jeebseeking.
This has meet ISTE NET Standard 2a which states teachers design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and research to promote student learning and creativity.
